In 1968 Ms. Awan’s second novel “SAQIB” was published. The novel is divided into two parts. The first half deals with the 1947 partition where the main character gets separated from her family and the subsequent hardships and difficulties faced by her in a new born country. The second half is written in the backdrop of the 1965 Indo-Pak war where her son lays down his life defending his country.
